About Us
Since August 2000, it has been our privilege to share the message of Jesus Christ with the Greater Pittsburgh area via The Journey Radio Ministry. In February 2010, we humbly and with great excitement, launched this radio broadcast across the United States and on www.oneplace.com. In our broadcasts, we strive to present God’s word in a relevant and practical way. Our broadcast messages include sermons from weekly preaching series, weekday and weekend seminars, and interviews with those from our church body whose stories are meant to encourage our listeners in their spiritual growth.
The Journey’s teaching demonstrates that God’s word is TRUTH, it is IMPERISHABLE, and APPLICABLE today in every society. God has gifted Ron with the ability to teach the Word of God in a real and relevant way and we believe that God wants us to share the unchanging word in an ever changing world.
God didn’t create us to “do life” alone. So, we invite you to join us on… The Journey.
About Ron Moore
Using his twenty years of experience leading a growing church in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ron Moore shares his insight and teaching with all of us on The Journey weekday radio broadcasts. As the Senior Pastor of The Bible Chapel, he has a passion to develop followers of Jesus Christ. This commitment has resulted in building a strong ministry team and a congregation of more than 2,000.
Ron grew up in Perry, Oklahoma. An athlete through his college years he continued his love for sports and competition through coaching in the public schools and most recently in recreational leagues. Ron’s four degrees in education and theology, and short time as a teacher, provide a solid base for his ability to be an excellent communicator of God’s word. He earned the Master of Theology (Th.M.) and Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary. His doctoral work focused on Marriage Enrichment. He also holds a Masters degree in Education from Texas A&M at Commerce. He serves currently on the Trinity Evangelical Seminary Pittsburgh Advisory Board and the Pittsburgh Regional International Student Ministry Board.
One of Ron’s greatest loves is his family. He has been married to his wife Lori for 30 years and they have four children, Brittany, Garrison, Lara, and Mackenzie, and son-in-law, Josiah. He enjoys spending time with his family as well as running, reading, and hiking.
